Course audience

The course is intended for experienced as well as novice teachers, lecturers and education practitioners who want to know how to evaluate their practice.  

Course content/aims

This course outlines why we need to evaluate our practice; the importance of planning the research; ethical considerations; deciding what to focus on and the selection of the most appropriate methods.

Information about the tutors

Stuart Hall and Kevin Lowden have worked with teachers and schools for over 20 years.  They translate theory into simple classroom practice by providing tailored mentoring and training in the use of research methods. Building the capacity of educators to evaluate their own practice has been at the core of much of their activity; helping teachers develop reflective practice and to make changes on the basis of evidence based findings.
