issue1'Magic' is the inaugural issue of eSharp. This issue includes papers presented at the first annual conference of the Graduate School of Arts and Humanities, held at the University of Glasgow in July 2002, also entitled Magic. Papers submitted on Creative Writing, Classics, Literature and Scottish History cover subjects ranging from body boundaries and gothic monstrosity in dystopian fiction to comparison of the work of C. S. Lewis and Philip Pullman, and Glasgow's enchanted landscapes.
