Delivery methods

Delivery methods

Delivery methods include a combination of lectures, seminar sessions and e-learning resources, which scaffold a variety of hands-on opportunities, practical tasks, and skills-based workshops.

This programme has a significant focus on active learning and skills development, thus there is a strong emphasis on applying new knowledge via investigation and self-directed study, in the classroom. These subject specific and research skills (such as, data analysis and presentation, and teaching skills) are developed through a series of extended projects and skills assessments and additional summative assignments.

Similarly, group work is embedded throughout the course as an integral aspect of many of the courses, these elements will be included in assignments as well as in-class activities.

These sessions will be supported by reference to case studies and contemporary literature, reports, legislation, and guidance, and be delivered in partnership with specialists in related fields, including external academics and experienced teachers/education providers.
