Reception for international students

Nearly 100 international students who have been awarded scholarships attended a reception hosted in the Senate Room by the International Office last week.
The International Office hosted a reception on Wednesday 22nd October in the Senate Room for new international students who had been awarded scholarships. Nearly 100 students attended with certificates being presented by the International Dean for North America, and the International Dean for East Asia.
It was an excellent informal opportunity for international students from across the University to meet and socialise over drinks and canapés. Most of the scholarships had been awarded on merit, and so these students represented some of the most highly qualified applicants for entry this year.
The University's official photographer was present to capture the occasion and individual pictures will be sent to each student to mark the event.
