University Place parking

Staff working in the Joseph Black building say haphazard and illegal parking is on occasion obstructing essential supplies and could potentially hamper fire engines and other emergency services.

Please help your University colleagues, particularly those working in the Joseph Black building, with a parking and safety problem that is becoming a regular concern. Essential daily supplies to the building, and potentially access for emergency vehicles, are being jeopardised by drivers parking badly and/or illegally in University Place.‌

Parking Joe Black 300University Place is the council-owned street that runs between the Wolfson Medical School building and the Bower building, the Officer Training Corps and the Joseph Black Building. It also provides access to the Western Infirmary site.

University staff who work in the area say haphazard and illegal parking is a daily occurrence and frequently causes problems for delivery drivers, including those supplying the Department of Forensic Medicine.

Staff and students are asked to park with consideration for others.
