New portal for Ferguson Bequest

A new online portal has just gone live for handling applications to the University's popular Ferguson Bequest scheme.
A new online portal has just gone live for handling bookings for the University's popular Ferguson Bequest scheme.
It can be accessed using the MyGlasgow Staff page which requires a GUID log-in.
The portal is the result of a major project involving staff from the Court Office who administer the scheme and IT Services, who created the online booking system. The intention was to speed up and simplify the process through which University staff can apply for tickets for a wide range of attractions including theatre tickets, tickets for health and leisure clubs and days out at venues such as Edinburgh Zoo, the Falkirk Wheel, Blair Drummond safari park, Deep Sea World and many more.
One of the first offerings via the new system is a recently purchased allocation of Theatre Tickets for the Spring 2014 Ballot. For full details of the performances and to make an application via our on-line system, please log in to MyGlasgow, by clicking the link at the bottom of the main University web page. Once you log in go to the Ferguson Bequest pages where you can enter the theatre ticket draws and book tickets to other Ferguson Bequest attractions.
Karen Christoforou from the Court Office said: "Take up of the new system has been really encouraging with positive feedback. We hope staff will find the system easy and convenient to use and that it will give the much-loved and ever popular Ferguson Bequest a new lease of life.”
The late Thomas Ferguson was Professor in Public Health and President of the University Athletics Football club. He authored classic studies on the origin of Scotland's social and health services. In 1977 he bequeathed his estate to the University, with the instruction that the money be used to foster the social side of University life for its (then) 2,100 staff.
The University Court established the Ferguson Bequest Committee to administer the funds. The various corporate memberships and theatre ticket draws are administered by the Court Office on behalf of the Committee.
