Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), China

Founded in 1958, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), formerly known as Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology, is a high-level university created to "cultivate advanced chemical talents required by cutting-edge science and technology." 

As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, BUCT is one of only three '211 projects' and '985 superior subject innovation platforms' industry colleges. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines. 

At present, the school has a total of 15 colleges, with 15,331 full-time undergraduates, 7,055 graduate students (including 953 doctors) and 358 international students. It is located on three campuses in Beijing. BUCT has established partnerships with 131 universities and institutions in the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Australia, South Korea, and Japan.

Chemistry at BUCT is in the top 1% of the ESI ranking.
