Graduate School Mobility Scholarship
Each year, the Graduate School provides funding for students in their 2nd + year of study to engage in international research.
Funding can be used, for example, for the following:
- To collaborate with internationally excellent researchers in your field
- To work in renowned laboratories
- To engage in field work which is not funded by your School as an inherent part of your studies
Visits can be for up to three months and should be realistically costed (please note the fund does not cover subsistence).
The visit should not be integral to your studies, but should, of course, benefit these. Quotations for travel/accommodation should be appended. If you are awarded funding all expenditure must be covered by receipts on your return and reports/photos provided on request. The terms and conditions are provided for information only, ie, you need not return this form unless you are awarded funding.
Applications should be submitted by 29 February 2024 at 5.00pm by email to scieng-gradschool@glasgow.ac.uk. Please note that all visits should be intended to be undertaken before 31 December 2024, and that those students previously awarded funding are not eligible for the scheme.
Each year, the fund is oversubscribed, and although we are keen to support as many students as possible, please be aware that even if you are successful it may not be for the full award requested.
You should approach your application in the same way you should approach all grant/funding applications and present us with as convincing a case as possible regarding why we should provide you with funding.
