Private Surveyor Maps
Single Sheet
- Plan of the City of Glasgow: Gorbells and Calton - by John McArthur. Surveyed by McArthur and published in 1778. Engraved by Baillie and Lumsden, this is one of the finest early maps of Glasgow.
- City of Glasgow, its environs with all the latest improvements - by David Smith. Published in 1828 by Wardlaw & Co. It clearly shows the rapid expansion of the city from McArthur's map of 1778.

- Map of the City of Glasgow and Suburbs - by Peter Fleming and David Smith. A hand coloured map on six sheets published in 1822.
- Map of the County of Renfrew - by John Ainslie. Published in 1800 on four sheets it shows Glasgow and some of its surrounding towns and countryside.
Ordnance Survey Maps
- Ordnance Survey of Lanarkshire Sheet 6 of the County Series - The series was surveyed 1858-1859 and published 1863-65. This sheet covering Glasgow itself was published in February 1865.

- Ordnance Survey of Lanarkshire Sheet 6.5 of the 2nd Edition - (at a scale of 1:2,500) After the initial survey of 1856-1859 the county was re-surveyed 1893-1894 and this edition was published 1892-1897.
- Ordnance Survey of Lanarkshire Sheet 6.5 of the Edition of 1913 - (at a scale of 1:2,500) After the initial survey of 1856-1859 the county was re-surveyed 1909 and this edition was published 1913.
- Ordnance Survey of Scotland: The Popular Edition - Produced from the third national revision of 1921-1930, this series was published 1924-1932. Sheet 72 shown here was published in 1925.
- Ordnance Survey of Lanarkshire: Special Emergency Edition - Sheet 6NE. Produced on quarter sheets at a scale of 1:10,560. Part of a revised survey from 1932-1933, this sheet was produced in 1938.

- Ordnance Survey of Great Britain - Produced at a scale of 1:10,560 from 1955-1983 using national grid lines which had replaced the previous county lines. Sheet NS56NW shows part of Glasgow in 1956.

- Argyllshire and Buteshire Index of the County Series - Argyllshire and Buteshire are on the west coast of Scotland. They were surveyed between 1855 and 1877. The main county towns are Inverary and Rothesay respectively.
- Ayrshire Index of the County Series - Ayrshire is on the south-west coast of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1854 and 1859. The main county town is Ayr.
- Berwickshire Index of the County Series - Berwickshire is on the south-east coast of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1855 and 1857. The main county town is Duns.
- Dumbartonshire Index of the County Series - Dumbartonshire is in central Scotland. It was surveyed between 1858 and 1861. The main county town is Dumbarton.
- Dumfriesshire Index of the County Series - Dumfriesshire is in the southern lowlands of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1854 and 1858. The main county town is Dumfries.
- Edinburghshire Index of the County Series - Edinburghshire is on the south-east coast of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1850 and 1852. The main county town is Edinburgh.
- Elginshire Index of the County Series - Elginshire in on the north-coast of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1866 and 1871. The main county town is Elgin.
- Fife and Kinross-shire Index of the County Series - Fife and Kinross-shire is on the east-coast of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1852 and 1855. The main county towns are Cupar and Kinross respectively.

- Forfarshire Index of the County Series - Forfarshire is on the ease-coast of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1857 and 1862. The main county town is Forfar.
- Haddingtonshire Index of the County Series - Haddingtonshire is on the south-east coast of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1852 and 1854. The main county town is Haddington.
- Inverness-shire Index of the County Series - Inverness-shire is in the central highlands of Scotland. It was surveyed between 1866 and 1876. The main county town is Inverness.
- Island of Lewis Index of the County Series - The Island of Lewis is situated off the north coast of Scotland, part of the county of Ross-shire. It was surveyed between 1848-52. The main county town is Ross.
