Introduction to using Audio Visual equipment

On successful completion of this course participants will be able to use the full range of AV equipment installed in central teaching spaces - this will include hands-on demonstrations incorporating elements such as equipment control systems, microphones and visualisers.
Electronic classroom voting systems workshop
1 hour
This workshop will introduce participants to how to set up the recently updated electronic voting system and will also give a brief overview of ways in which this technology can be used to enhance learning.
Creating Questionnaires on the Web
Half a day
In this half day session delegates will learn how to set up questionnaires on the web and access the resulting data using common desktop applications. Knowledge and experience of web publishing required.

This courses introduces the new version of Moodle (2) and is suitable for those new to the platform and those migrating from the previous version (1.9).

MOODLE - Adding Basic Audio
1 hour lunchtime
This course is for members of staff only
On successful completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Use data recorder to record presentation/lecture.
- Transfer unedited audio file to desktop computer.
- Upload to MOODLE.
Familiarity with the MOODLE environment required.
MOODLE - Writing Questionnaires and using feedback
1 hour lunchtime
This course is for members of staff only
On successful completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Put together a questionnaire.
- Construct questionnaires using the feedback facility in MOODLE.
- Export the collected data from MOODLE.
Familiarity with the MOODLE environment. Advantageous if participants have exisiting questionnaire they would like to host on MOODLE.
MOODLE - Quiz and lesson activities

On successful completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Understand how to create interactive assessment with quiz and lesson activities in Moodle.
- Create a question bank as a reusable resource.
- Create summative and formative tests for students.
This workshop is for staff who wish to add quiz and lesson activities to Moodle courses.
Turnitin for MOODLE
1 hour lunchtime
This course is for members of staff only
On successful completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Set up and edit a Turnitin assignment in accordance with Senate Policies.
- Access and interpret an Originality Report generated by Turnitin.
Video for MOODLE
Half Day
This course is for members of staff only
Prerequisites:
Familiarity with the MOODLE environment.
On successful completion of this course participants will be able to:
- An introduction to finding, creating and using video resources on the web and delivering them to students via Moodle.
- Showcases examples of the many different ways video is being used to enhance learning and offers help avoiding the technical pitfalls that may be encountered.
