The European Computer Driving Licence

ECDL for students will cost £30 for 2012/13.

***This method of booking is ONLY for those who registered for ECDL before August 2012***
 
Please note, for assessments each Module is timed at 75 minutes.  You must arrive with enough time to complete all Modules you have signed up for, before the end of the session.  If your result is 75% or more, you will be given the opportunity of booking a Certified Test session of your choice.

What is ECDL?

IT Services is an accredited Test Centre for ECDL and can offer you the opportunity of sitting the tests necessary to attain the qualification.

ECDL is a certified qualification (endorsed by the British Computer Society) that verifies your computer knowledge and practical computing skills. It is recognised throughout Europe, and has been designed to meet the needs of both employers and employees.

There are 7 ECDL tests covering core IT skills:

• IT Security for Users
• Using the Computer and Managing Files/IT User Fundamentals
• Word Processing
• Spreadsheets
• Databases
• Presentations
• Web Browsing and Communication / Using the Internet & Email

Under ECDL rules you have three years to complete all seven modules, from the date of your first successful test.
