Binding: France, 18th-century red morocco decorated with triple gold fillets, a small gold fleuron at each corner;  gold-tooled spine;  marbled endpapers;  gilt-edged leaves;  green silk bookmark.   Size:  315 x 231 mm.
Leaf size: 305 x 220 mm.
Annotations: Some marginal Greek and Latin annotations in humanist hands in brown and faded red ink;  on A1r is a list of arabic numerals in a humanist hand with their equivalents in letters of the Greek alphabet, plus a list of names of numerals in Latin with the corresponding Greek;  signatures of first two leaves of gathering B - erroneously printed “C1” and “C2” - corrected in brown ink in an early hand;  R1, which is unsigned, has the signature added in manuscript.
Decoration: Six-line initial “A” on A3r supplied in gold on a rectangular foliate ground of blue, crimson and green pen-work;  at the beginning of each new letter of the alphabet, a Greek initial supplied in crimson or blue on a similar rectangular ground.
Imperfections: None.
