International Network on Acausal Quantum Technology

Causality is embedded into our logical and scientific thinking: events are influenced by the past but not by the future.  Quantum processes, however, may defy causal order, and recently researchers have realised experiments, where it is no longer clear, which event or process within a sequence preceded the other. While these initial demonstrations are of a fundamental nature, acausal order could hold tremendous potential for technological advances across quantum communication, imaging, metrology and computation.

INAQT brings together pioneers on acausal order from Europe, Australia and Hong Kong with quantum researchers from the UK, including representatives of all four quantum hubs.

The overall vision of this network is to boost the status of acausal order from the level of an intriguing conceptual idea to that of a true technology-friendly quantum resource, fit for the second quantum revolution.
