Abstract

The quantum shuffle algebra, as the graded dual of the Nichols algebra, plays a crucial role in the classification of Andruskiewitsch-Schneider on finite dimensional pointed Hopf algebras over finite abelian groups. In this talk, I will present the construction of a multiplicative deformation of these (Hopf) algebras, the quantum quasi-shuffle algebras, and their applications to quantum groups. If time permits, I will explain a combinatorial formula for the multiplicative structure of these algebras via generalized virtual braid groups.
