Abstract

I will explain how a geometric lifting of the Robinson-Schensted-Knuth (RSK) correspondence introduced by A.N. Kirillov (2000) is closely related to GL(n,R)-Whittaker functions. This is analogous to the relation between the usual RSK correspondence and Schur functions, and has applications to random polymer models.
