Abstract

Gorenstein duality for ring spectra has a variety of manifestations. The most familiar is that of (Poincar\'e) duality for manifolds; even with mod 2 cohomology, twisted duality has an effect through the Steenrod algebra action. The aim of the talk is to talk about this and other cases where the twisting is significant, such as Gross-Hopkins duality. (Joint work with W.G.Dwyer and S.B.Iyengar).
