Abstract

In the first part of the talk, I will discuss about pattern formation in reaction-diffusion systems on growing domains, namely about transitions between patterns with different square symmetries (i.e. square patterns), and between square patterns and stripe patterns.In the second part of the talk, I will present a way of reducing networks via balanced colorings and applications of this reduction to the network of livestock movements in the UK.
