International Law and the case of Nauru - Cait Storr

On this episode our host Alan Brown is joined by Dr Cait Storr, Lecturer in Property Law at the School.  They discuss Dr Storr’s forthcoming monograph with Cambridge University Press, which provides a historical narrative of the Oceanic island of Nauru.

Looking at the history of Nauru as an object of international legal administration, the book charts the changing status of the island in international law from German protectorate in the 19th century, through to its recognition as a sovereign state in the 1960s.
