Personnel and funding
The project was directed by Prof. Bill Hanson with assistance of Dr Ioana Oltean, now of the University of Exeter, who generated the site plans and distribution maps (illus 1 and 2). The fieldwork element of the project (which is now complete) was funded by research grants from the Leverhulme Trust and the British Academy. The work was undertaken in collaboration with National Museum of Transylvania in Cluj, the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilizations in Deva and the University of Alba Iulia.
