With great sadness, we share here the news that our dear colleague and friend Professor Srabani Maitra died on Sunday 10th December. Srabani was a much loved and respected colleague in and beyond the School of Education, the College of Social Sciences, and the University of Glasgow. She was a Professor in the Sociology of Adult and Vocational Education and a true ‘world changer’ in adult learning, racial and class relations, transnational migration, lifelong learning, vocational education and education policy. Srabani was also a friend to many of us and we will miss her compassion, her kindness and her smile. We mourn her loss and will formally honour her life early in 2024.
