Imagine Cup Content: Project Blueprint Challenge

At Microsoft's Imagine Cup Blueprint Challenge, the Glasgow team, Spiffy Circuits recieved an honourable mention for their project Rondo. Rondo is a social media app that uses a device's GPS or Wi-Fi capabilities to capture the user’s location. Rondo then lets the user define an area around their current location and perform activities that take place only in that area. Everyone whose location is inside the specified area could join those activities. This leads to interaction only with people who are physically nearby. The activities (which correspond to different modules of the app) range from voting for music that plays next, chats and live broadcasts of users' cameras; even challenging others to real-world games and competitions inside that physical area.

The team consisting of Christian Shtarkov, Atanas Penchev, Ivelin Denev, Pavel Dikov, plan to release a beta version of their app Rondo Soon.
