Join us for a roundtable discussion at the RSE's summer series, Curious

Combining an understanding of a collection's history with technical analysis offers new insights into the collection and its artworks.

Join Christina Young from the Kelvin Centre in a roundtable discussion as part of the Royal Society of Edinburgh's summer series, Curious, to explore an ongoing research project shedding light on twelve modernist African artworks from the Argyll Collection.

Christina will discuss this research together with Dr Kate Cowcher, Lecturer in Art History, University of St Andrews and Professor Angelo Kakande, Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts, Makerere University, Uganda.

Running as a hybrid event, you can choose either to book tickets to attend in-person or book tickets to attend online.

Attendance is free, and the event takes place at The Royal Society of Edinburgh on Friday 15 September 2023 from 6-7pm.

Please note that the organisers have indicated this event is suitable for age 16+.
