Earlier this month, the Glasgow University Business Club hosted their “Start Up 101” event, where local business owners and alumni entrepreneurs alike were invited to come and share their experiences with the club members. With over 80 in attendance, the networking style event was a resounding success.

Founded in 2010, the University of Glasgow’s Business Club provides social, professional and academic activities for ASBS students and any other students who are “business enthusiasts”. As one of the largest academic societies on campus, the club enjoy a wide variety of events throughout the year.

Earlier this month, the club hosted their “Start Up 101” event, where local business owners and alumni entrepreneurs alike were invited to come and share their experiences with the club members. With over 80 in attendance, the networking style event was a resounding success.

“We at GUBC try our best to provide students with various opportunities to gain knowledge and exposure to different prospects covered within the field of Business." Said Jia, the club's Alumni and Partnerships manager. "Networking events like Start-Up 101 not only aim to enhance learning, understanding, and building connections within the industry, but also encourages students to explore their interests and nurture their passion”

The ASBS Alumni team were happy to work with the GUBC, assisting with the identification and recruitment of volunteer speakers. We often receive requests like this from student clubs & societies, and host many of our own events.
