Place-Based Research Programme Hub
Advancing people-centred, place-based approaches to arts and humanities research
The AHRC Place-Based Research Programme is a long-term strategic investment by UKRI/AHRC, based at the University of Glasgow. The Programme supports research, knowledge exchange and partnerships that advance people-centred approaches to place-based policy and practice.
We bring together the felt, lived, geographic, administrative and economic dimensions of place to help partners respond to contemporary place-based challenges. A central focus is felt experiences of place: how people feel in and about places, and how attachment, belonging and pride can shape social, cultural and economic outcomes for people and place.
