Training and Support
The research impact team works together with colleagues in central research services and all four colleges to develop and deliver events, trainings, and courses on different aspects of knowledge exchange and research impact.

- Research Impact: Making a Difference. An online, self-paced course developed by University of Glasgow to introduce researchers to what research impact is and how to create it.

Bespoke training
We can deliver and support trainings, workshops and presentation to units, centres, schools, and colleges on a wide range of impact, knowledge exchange, and engagement related topics.

Together with colleagues across the Research Service Directory and in the College Impact Teams we provide tailored support to individual researchers or research projects. We can provide guidance and support on:

External training opportunities
- Matter of Focus provides consultancy and software for understanding and tracking outcomes and impact. They offer free webinars on a range of impact related topics and have a library of past event recordings.
- The Knowledge Exchange Unit at the UK Parliament offers free online training for researchers and have a library of past event recordings.
- Evaluation for Arts, Culture, and Heritage: Principles and Practice is a self-paced online course to understand the principles of and develop creative approaches to carrying out evaluation in the arts, culture, and heritage sectors. It was developed by the University of Leeds and Centre for Cultural Value.
- STEM Learning, a not-for-profit company aiming to improve lives through STEM education, has developed a self-paced online learning module on planning effective classroom activities for volunteering in STEM lessons.
