The Staff Survey 2018 is now open and emails and hard copies of the questionnaire are going out now.

Two of our Engagement Leads – Heather Murphy from the College of Arts and Jeremy Bagg from the Glasgow Dental School – explain what they think the staff survey can achieve.

staff survey

This year the University has worked with a leading independent company, ORC International, to administer the survey. As in previous surveys, this will ensure that the data collected from the survey remains anonymous and the University will not be allowed access to the raw data or any individual questionnaires.

The University is embarking on an ambitious campus development plan which can be seen taking shape on University Avenue with the construction of the new Learning and Teaching Hub. It will offer state-of-the-art facilities but without a dedicated, committed and engaged workforce it will be nothing more than a building.

In order to make the most of all our current and future buildings across the University, we want to hear everyone’s views to ensure that we are creating a climate in which people can give of their best and we, in turn, can enhance everyone’s daily working environment.

From Monday all employees who have a contract for more than seven hours per week (0.2fte) will start to receive an e-mail from ORC International with a personal link and instructions to the online questionnaire. Following feedback from previous exercises, the questionnaire is shorter this year and should only take about 10 minutes to complete.

For those who do not have regular access to e-mail, arrangements have been made for paper copies to be made available and your line manager will notify the arrangements locally.

The survey will run until 5 October 2018

Our employees are the heartbeat of our University – therefore, your opinion counts…..please “HAVE YOUR SAY”
