The Principal, Professor Anton Muscatelli, has written an article for this week's Times Higher Education, looking at the challenges of Brexit.
In the article, to be published later this week, Professor Muscatelli says the recent announcement that the University of Oxford had moved to the top of Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings further cemented UK higher education’s world-leading status. But it only heightened the anxieties within the sector about whether the UK can retain this status after the country leaves the European Union.
Shortly after the June EU referendum, the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, announced that Professor Muscatelli was to chair a group of experts to advise the Scottish Government on securing Scotland’s relationship with the EU. The Standing Council on Europe comprises specialists in legal, financial, business and diplomatic matters.
