Free cycling events for staff

Cycle training, bike maintenance and Dr Bike.

The following events are free for all staff 

Cycling Training – Introduction to Urban Cycling

  • Tuesday 26 Apr, 17:30-18:00
  • Thursday 28 Apr, 17:30-18:00

The training will start at the Glasgow Bike Station in Finniston. Bicycles available on request.

Please note that cycling training for other levels (beginners or returners to cycling) are also available for free to staff members. These are delivered as one-to-one sessions by the Bike Station, at a time agreed with the staff member.

Bicycle Maintenance Workshops

  • Wednesday 27 Apr, 17:30-18:00
  • Thursday 28 Apr, 17:30-18:00

The workshops will be held at the Glasgow Bike Station in Finniston. You are invited to bring your bicycle, but if not available, there are also demonstration bikes.

Advanced Bicycle Maintenance Workshop ‘Fix your own bike’

  • Wednesday, 4 May, 17:30-18:00
  • This workshop will be also held at the Glasgow Bike Station in Finniston.

Dr Bike sessions on campus

  • Tuesday 19 Apr, 11:00 - 14:00 at Gilmorehill, in front of the Wolfson Medical School
  • Tuesday 26 Apr, 11:00 - 14:00 at Gilmorehill, in front of the Wolfson Medical School
  • Wednesday 27 Apr, 11:00 - 14:00 at Garscube, car park at Estates and Buildings

These sessions are drop-in, no booking requirements. Bicycle security marking will also take place.
