The University of Glasgow has two finalists in this year's Prospects Postgraduate Awards, which saw more than a hundred universities, businesses and students enter

The awards are the only annual accolades solely dedicated to celebrating best practice and the most exciting developments in UK postgraduate education.

Anyone who has an impact on postgraduate education is recognised, which is why a new accolade has been introduced this year for 'Best careers and employability team'. It is in this category that the University of Glasgow's Careers Service has been nominated. A total of six institutions have been shortlisted for this award, which recognises and rewards the careers services who facilitate work-related learning opportunities for postgraduates.

The University has another finalist in the category for 'Best teaching team (science, technology and engineering)': MSc Medical Genetics Teaching Team, University of Glasgow. They face competition from:

  • SOC Security Team, Edinburgh Napier University
  • MSc Endangered Species Recovery and Conservation Team, Nottingham Trent University
  • MSc Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation, University of Bradford

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Monday 10 November 2014 at The Midland Hotel, Manchester, where finalists will enjoy a gala lunch and networking opportunities.
