"GO" success for Procurement

The University's Procurement team, part of the Finance division, has been named "Team of the Year" in the Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards.
The University's Procurement team, part of the Finance division, has been named "Team of the Year" in the Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards.
Head of Procurement, Jo Gallagher, said: "This is a fantastic recognition of progress and achievement for our procurement team, especially given the record level of competition from across the public sector in Scotland and the private sector in the UK, for these Awards."
The GO Awards Scotland 2014/15 were held last month at the Glasgow Marriott hotel.
For the past seven years the GO Awards Scotland have been the benchmark by which progress in this multibillion-pound sector has been measured.
Grahame Steed, Lead Judge, GO Awards Scotland 2014/15, said: “Once again the GO Awards Scotland have proved to be the leading showcase for recognising outstanding procurement within Scotland.
