Professors on your bike!

Twenty three of the University's finest have been on their bikes raising funds for a children's clinic in Kenya, writes Alexandra Mackay, Administrator, Wellcome Trust Centre For Molecular Parasitology.

On 9 December, twenty three of our finest university scientists got on their bikes to raise some much needed funds to provide a community health worker and to paint the walls of the Baraka Children’s Clinic in the Mathare slum in Nairobi, Kenya.  As an added attraction there was a two hour ‘soakathon’ where selected Professors were on bikes outside and for a small donation people could soak them with sponges or a Super Soaker.‌  This charity event raised a wonderful £1,080.   Many congratulations to the cyclists and the organising team. Professors bike fundraising
