The Centre for Open Studies welcomes you to our January 2014 programme which offers more than 150 exciting learning opportunities, including courses for University credits, short courses and day events for interest and fun.

The Centre for Open Studies welcomes you to our January 2014 programme which offers over 150 exciting learning opportunities, including courses for University credits, short courses and day events for interest and fun. There is something for everyone!

Courses and events commencing this session will be available from the following:

The Continuing Professional Development Programme (CPD): Counselling Skills and IT Business Applications

The Languages Programme: offering Italian, Spanish and Gaelic in January and an additional 14 languages from Stage 1, with many progressing through to Stage 4 from September 2014 

The Open Studies Programme: a wide range of subjects including Egyptology • Art • Astronomy • Computing • Counselling Skills • History & Politics • Languages • Literature & Creative Writing • Music • Philosophy • Psychology • Science

Our students come from a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of different life-experiences. Through studying at the Centre, they often create friendships for life and we take pride in the strong social element to our courses and events.
