The University's Equality and Diversity Unit is hosting an afternoon of Pecha Kucha style presentations by women at various stages of their academic career: Be Inspired - Women in Academia.

The event is on Friday 7th March 2013 from 3 pm to 5 pm, in the Senate Room.

Pecha Kucha (Japanese for chatter) is a fast-moving format where speakers present 20 images for 20 seconds each, so it promises to be an entertaining event. Professor Anne Anderson, Vice-Principal and Head of College of Social Sciences will open the event in her role as the University's Gender Equality Champion.

After the presentations, refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to chat and network.

If you need any reasonable adjustments, please contact the event organiser with your request in advance so that arrangements, where possible, can be made.

The event is open to all staff and students of University of Glasgow. Attendance is free but ticketed (for catering and accessibility purposes), so people need to register for the event at:
