A prize has been established by History in the School of Humanities to celebrate the memory of their Administrator, Alison Peden, who died just over a year ago.‌

"Alison will be especially remembered for the support she gave to students who experienced challenges and difficulties during the course of their studies. For this reason the Alison Peden Memorial Prize will be awarded annually to recognise an undergraduate student in the Subject of History who has shown resilience and gained success in the face of challenges."

In the short time the Fund has been operational, it has raised more than £1200. The prize was awarded for the first time last year to two students jointly: Alistair Martin and Osric Moore.
