The University's security team are warning of a recent increase in the number of petty thefts on Campus. Their advice? - "Keep an eye on your belongings wherever you are."

It's understood that most of the thefts have been in public areas such as food outlets on campus, or in areas where staff and students are tempted to put down bags, laptop cases and outdoor clothing.

The security team are advising everyone on campus to keep their bags and valuables with them at all times, and not to be tempted to leave belongings on chairs and tables in public areas while collecting food or visiting a rest room.

If you are the victim of theft, do report it as you may well help to catch the perpetrators.

If you need help or assistance, call Security on: (0141 330) 4282.
