Mobility opportunities for staff and PG students in North America through Erasmus Mundus project.

The second call for applications for the “Nova Domus” Erasmus Mundus project has just been launched. University of Glasgow doctoral, post-doctoral and staff candidates are encouraged to apply for opportunities to carry out visits and research to a number of universities in North America.

The project aims to facilitate research and education links across a consortium of universities in Europe and North America -including Brown University, UBC, Ottawa, Dalhousie and McGill. It focuses on the fields of medical sciences, public health, natural sciences and engineering –  with the primary focus on human health, well-being and communication.

This project offers exciting opportunities for doctoral, post-doctoral and staff candidates working in the relevant fields to undertake a period of research, work or training in one of the partner universities in North America. The posts last between one to 11 months and will benefit both the individual, and their wider research area.

Successful applicants will receive a scholarship which includes a stipend of €1500 - €2500 per month (depending on level), insurance and a contribution of up to €2000 for their travel costs.

The deadline for applications in this second call is 31 January 2015. There will be a further final call for applications next year.
