Oakfield Avenue traffic restrictions

Published: 14 August 2014

Beginning on Monday 25 August, Oakfield Avenue will be subject to a 10 day road closure with only pedestrian access available

As part of the Stevenson GUU project, Oakfield Avenue will be subject to a 10 day road closure, with work due to start on Monday 25 August. The closure is due to infrastructure upgrades being made by Scottish Power.

The main work will take place at the south end of Oakfield Avenue and there will be no vehicular access from University Avenue onto Oakfield Avenue for the duration of the work.

Scottish Power will also be carrying out an excavation across the north end of Oakfield Avenue on Wednesday 27 August. On that day there will be no vehicular access into Oakfield Avenue from Gibson Street for the day and no car parking within the Rankine Building.

During all of the above works pedestrian access will be maintained from both ends of Oakfield Avenue.

Scottish Power will be responsible for all Traffic and Pedestrian management during their works.
