Got a question? Reach Out is the way to get answers:
Search
Use Library search to find books and journals.
If the item you need is on loan, you can recall it, choose Request It.
Our electronic and print journals are listed separately so you may get two hits in the results list for the same title. Please note that we don't always have the same coverage in print/electronic and some journals are only available in one format.
Borrow
Borrow books at the self-issue machine or, during staffed hours, at the enquiry desk.
-
Loan periods: 4 weeks (12 weeks for staff & postgraduates)
-
Renewals: Up to 5 times via your Library account, in person, or call 01413305708, unless the item is overdue or requested by another user.
-
If recalled, you’ll be notified by student email and must return the item.
Using the Self-Issue Machine
Return
Books may be returned either directly to the Chemistry Library or via the University Library.
A book drop box is located outside the Library for returns.

Copying and printing
You can scan, print and photocopy using the Multi-Functional Device (MFD) in the Library.
Swipe your student/staff card over the Pull Print logo on the printers, then select Print, Scan or Copy. A photocopy, or a print of a scan, will cost the same as normal printing and credit will be taken from your print credit balance.
