Provenance:	Passau, Bavaria.   Augustinian Canons of the Lateran Congregation, S. Nicolaus, S. Andreas, S. Pantaleon;  dissolved 1803:  inscription on 1/2r “Iste liber est mon[aster]ij Sancti Nicolaij Cis inclitam patauiam”. Munich, Royal Library (now Bayerische Staatsbibliothek):  perhaps a duplicate - “Dpl” in pencil on front free endpaper. Binding:	17th-century quarter pigskin with faint traces of a manuscript title in top compartment of spine, thin wooden boards covered with parchment leaves from a manuscript service book;  front pastedown, front free endpaper and rear pastedown have the Jesuit watermark “IHS” surmounted by a cross and with the three nails below, all within a radiant sun - below which are the initials “R” and “M”;  sprinkled blue-edged leaves;  signs of a bookplate removed from front pastedown;  small rectangular label at head of spine with faint traces of handwriting (a shelfmark?).   Size:  470 x 323 mm.
Leaf size:	455 x 310 mm.
Annotations:	Number “799” in pencil in a 19th-century hand and “Coll. compl. 474 ff.” on front pastedown.
Decoration:	Twelve-line initial “I” on 2/2r (f. 6r) supplied in red and black with reserved white; other initials throughout supplied in red (some with marginal flourishing) along with capital strokes and paragraph marks;  running book numbers in red from gathering 10 onwards.
Imperfections:	Wanting the first and final blank leaves.
