Binding: Italy, 18th-century parchment, black leather title label on spine;  sprinkled red-edged leaves;  green silk bookmark;  inner leaves of each quire guarded with thin parchment strips.   Size:  275 x 197 mm.
Leaf size: 268 x 190 mm.
Annotations: Early catchwords in ink on the final verso of each quire;  traces of early signatures;  a few leaves have an early foliation;  occasional marginal and interlinear annotations in an early hand (many faded);  a few manicules;  seven lines of Italian verse in a humanist hand at foot of 8/6r (f. 68r).
Decoration: Many initials and a few paragraph marks supplied in red;  some capitals and the roman numerals of the date on 8/6r (f. 68r) supplied with red strokes.
Imperfections: Wanting the first blank leaf;  worming in final two leaves affecting a few letters.
