Though traditionally attributed to Saint Bonaventura, this is a compilation by Henricus de Balma, incorporating the Stimulus amoris of Jacobus Mediolanensis - cf. CIBN B-680.

Binding: Scotland, 19th-century calf, bevelled edges (probably by Carss & Co., Glasgow);  marbled endpapers;  red-edged leaves.   Size:  140 x 95 mm.
Leaf size: 135 x 89 mm.
Annotations: Single marginal annotation in an early hand on K4v;  number “24/390” in pencil in a 19th-century hand on rear flyleaf (probably a binder’s job number).
Decoration: None.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaves R7-8.
