Binding: Scotland, 19th-century parchment;  covers decorated with a double gold-fillet border, a small gold fleuron at each corner;  gold-tooled spine;  marbled endpapers;  red-edged leaves;  binder’s ticket on rear free endpaper “Bound by R. Nelson Glasgow”.   Size:  295 x 210 mm.
Leaf size: 290 x 205 mm.
Annotations: Quires ii-ll have cropped marginal annotations in a humanist hand in Latin with some geometrical terms in Greek included;  early annotations in Latin in two different hands in quires aa, cc, dd, hh.
Decoration: Faintly printed lines of a few woodcut diagrams strengthened by pen and ink (e.g. on gg3v).
Imperfections: A fragment of 68 leaves consisting only of quires aa-kk6 ll8 of Part I (with title on aa1r “Arithmetica Geometria et Musica Boetii”).
