William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  purchased from Knight 13 Nov. 1860 according to Euing’s pencil acquisition note and price code “13.11.60 G/ Kt” together with his inventory number “No. 829” on a1r;  source confirmed in Euing’s acquisitions inventory (University of Glasgow Library, MS Euing 49).
University of Glasgow:  presented by Euing in 1872 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown.
Binding: Scotland, 19th-century brown calf;  covers decorated with a border of double gold and double blind fillets, a small gold fleuron at each corner;  gilt spine title;  binder’s ticket “Bound by R. Nelson, Glasgow” on front pastedown;  partial early title in ink on fore-edge indicating that this was once bound with another or other works.   Size:  208 x 158 mm.
Leaf size: 202 x 152 mm.
Annotations: Underlining and one marginal note in an early hand on a3r.
Decoration: None.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaf d4.
