Binding: France, 17th-century tan-coloured calf;  both covers decorated with a double gold fillet to form a mitred panel design;  within the centre panel of each cover is the gilt monogram of Nicolas-Claude Fabri de Peiresc, formed by the three Greek letters kappa, phi, pi.   Rebacked and restored by Ian Maver, Nov. 1982;  original endpapers put back;  original leather spine lost;  parchment manuscript fragments from a liturgical manuscript, used as spine strengtheners, are preserved and loosely inserted in the book;  typescript note by binder tipped in at rear.   Housed in modern brown cloth slip-case.   Size:  215 x 160 mm.

Annotations: Numerical corrections in an early hand on A6r and A8v;  letters “bb” in an early hand on front free endpaper.
Decoration: Text enclosed within brown ink rules;  the “Tabulae” within vertical brown ink rules;  initial “M” on A7v  and initial “P” on B8v supplied in red and blue;  other initials supplied in red or blue, a few with additional pen decoration in brown ink;  woodcut initials decorated in yellow;  capital strokes in yellow.
