Young EURA Award

  • The inaugural Young EURA award was presented to Elsa Vivant for the best paper submitted to the conference for students, PhD candidates or persons who obtained a PhD degree not earlier than 2006 and who are under 35 years old on 1 March 2007.   Elsa has recently taken up a new post at the French Institute of Urban Planning, Université Paris 8).  You can read Elsa's paper The Off Artistic Venues' Trigger Effects in Urban Regeneration Project.

Special Issues

Urban Research and Practice

A Special Issue of the new journal Urban Research and Practice, journal of the European Urban Research Association, on the theme of The Vital City will draw on the best papers submitted to the conference.

Town Planning Review

Town Planning Review, a leading international journal in its field and with a readership in over sixty countries worldwide, has commissioned a Special Issue containing a selection of some of the best papers presented at the EURA Conference.  The journal, scheduled to be published in mid 2008, will feature a selection of papers from those presented under the following three EURA Conference Themes:

  • Real Estate Development and City Planning
  • the Urban Environment and 'Quality of Place'
  • Urban Form, Transport and Sustainability

 

Workshop co-ordinators and others may also develop plans for further special issues or edited collections - please contact the relevant co-ordinator in the first instance.
