Speaker: Dr Joanne McPeake

The short term health and social impact of COVID-19 in Scotland has been well documented.  Less is known about the long-term health consequences of COVID-19 for patients and the healthcare system.

Joanne McPeake is a Nurse Consultant in Glasgow Royal Infirmary and a Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Glasgow.  Her research and clinical workload focusses on the how patient and family members adapt after an admission to intensive care.  More recently, she has led the COVID-19 critical care recovery service across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
