  This course will prepare students for independent research required for the dissertation.

By the end of this course, students will be able to undertake an independent research project which will involve the:

* conceptualisation of an appropriate research question

* design of an appropriate research methodology

* implementation of appropriate methods to achieve project goals

* completion of ethics and health and safety reports 

* adoption of appropriate conceptual approaches to analyse field data

* effective management of time to deliver project outcomes

Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components (including examinations) of the course's summative assessment.
