Worth it - Unison campaign for better pay

Unison has launched a major new cmapaign to boost the pay of public service workers. Members have had their pay capped and frozen whilst prices have continued to shoot up. All workers have seen a 16% reduction in the pay packets since 2010 and many are no longer able to make ends meet. With UNISON you can fight for better, fairer pay and we can help members make ends meet. For more details see the campaign webpage.

Industrial action for fair pay

Unison, along wih UCU and EIS have announced a further 1 day national strike on Thursday 6th February 2014, in response to the employers refusal to improve their inadaquate 1% pay offer. Remember that you can claim up to £50 compensation for loss of earnings if you were out on strike in October and/or December 2013, and if you also strike on the 3rd day you can claim up to £100 from the Industrial Action Fund.

We hope to see as many of you showing your support on the 6th. If you have any questions then please contact a member of the committee, follow us on Facebook and twitter @UNISON_UofG
