NOTE: SEPS will be moving offices from Monday 20th April 2015. As a result of this some staff may not be contactable during the early part of that week.
Welcome to Safety and Environmental Protection Service (SEPS) website. SEPS forms a part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Division. Our role is to assist the University in ensuring that its working practices do not cause harm to people or to the environment. We monitor work activities and provide advice on routes designed to ensure that the University complies with health and safety and environmental legislation.
In addition to members of staff who are able to advise on a wide range of general safety topics, SEPS can provide specialist advice to staff and students across the University on fire, biological and chemical safety and on the legal issues concerning disposal of waste.
The other parts of Health Safety and Wellbeing are the Occupational Health Unit and Radiation Protection Service.
