Student Code of Conduct
This is the main procedure for registered students. The Code includes a series of defined breaches of conduct (which is not exhaustive), and involves a well-established procedure whereby reports are considered by the Senior Senate Assessor for Student Conduct. In most cases students are then interviewed by two Senate Assessors for Student Conduct. Serious cases are referred to the Senate Student Conduct Committee which has the power to exclude students from the University. Occasionally, no case is established and no further action is taken.
Examples of use: academic misconduct such as plagiarism or cheating in examinations; dishonest conduct; violent behaviour; disruptive or threatening behaviour (particularly if there has been a specific incident).
